Paiste continues its long-standing commitment to
innovatively meeting musicians' needs with the
introduction of the Paiste Audio Sound Library on
compact disc. Produced to blend easily into
sample-based musical applications, these recordings
bring traditional Paiste sound quality to contemporary
digital technology.
The end result of five years of careful research and
development, the Paiste Audio Sound Library recordings
accurately capture the precise sonic character of
selected Paiste cymbals. The first three volumes feature
"Light to Medium Rides", "Medium to Heavy Rides", and
"Hi-Hats & Crashes". Noted percussionist Ed Mann
performed and organized the recordings, bringing forth
the cymbals' every nuance of tone and harmonic detail
through meticulous use of a variety of strokes, positions
and sticks, according to a system Paiste and Mann
developed, the "Human Touch Emulation System".
The Paiste Audio Sound Libraries feature easy-to-use
detailed Musical Applications Guides, designed to
maximize the musician's versatility of sound choice, and
includes additional helpful tips for MIDI users.
